VA SART: Emergency Pet Sheltering Course (Module A)

You’re invited to join AWLA and Virginia SART for the first module in the Emergency Pet Sheltering Course offered virtually through Zoom! All individuals are welcome, as varied skills and resources are needed.

Through Virginia SART, Community Animal Response Teams are tasked with providing professional response and sheltering for animals in an emergency. Volunteers are needed for these teams that can be called on to help provide support during emergencies.

During this module, we will discuss pet disaster preparedness, emergency operation plans, the incident command system, and health and safety.
