Lauren Lipsey brings a wealth of experience in animal welfare and a deep commitment to AWLA’s mission. Before joining AWLA, Lauren served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Council of the District of Columbia, where she worked on legislative and policy initiatives. Her career includes leadership roles at the Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Rescue Alliance, where she focused on expanding lifesaving programs and advocating for animals in need.
A lifelong animal lover, Lauren shares her home with her dog, Noodle, and her cat, Dottie. She is excited to lead AWLA into the future, strengthening its impact and ensuring more animals receive the care and protection they deserve.
