This season on Love is Blind, we're bringing the mystery, the excitement, and the love to AWLA! Join us for a special edition of Love is Blind, where hopeful pet parents and adoptable pets will take center stage in the quest for love. It's more than an adoption event - it's a love story waiting to unfold! Will sparks fly? Can contestants put their trust in our expert matchmakers? Will YOU find true love? Find out if love truly is blind on Thursday, February 15 from 6-8pm! During the event, potential adopters will fill out a special questionnaire to help our matchmakers pair them up with a potential match. If you adopt your match, their adoption fee is FREE! If you choose to adopt another pet, their adoption fee
will be 50% off (for pets 6 months+).
Kitten College Impact Report
In 2023, the Animal
Welfare League of Arlington’s Kitten College program embarked on a transformative journey, reinforcing its commitment to feline welfare nationwide. Through strategic partnerships, educational programs, and community outreach efforts, Kitten College expanded its reach and impact, leaving a lasting paw print on shelters, rescues, and the lives of countless kittens across the country.
We are proud of the impact our Kitten College program had on our community. We invite you to view AWLA's Kitten College 2023 Impact Report. Through collaboration, education, and unwavering dedication, we aspire to continue making a profound and enduring impact, one paw at a time.
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is very excited to be hosting our highly requested animal-themed summer camp programs! Our camps, for kids ages 6-13, explore the many areas of our shelter and engage in many fun activities to better the lives of our animals. Kids participate in a variety of animal-themed lessons, games, crafts, guest speakers, and of course enjoy one-on-one time with our companion animals. We hope you are able to join us this year for a program your kid will never forget! All camps are hosted at our shelter with each day running from 9am-3:30pm.
The Animal Allies Spring Break 1-day Extravaganza is a unique opportunity for children aged 10-13 to learn about the positive impact AWLA is making for the animals in our community and how they can make a difference for animals. Campers will join us at the shelter for one long day of fun to learn about different areas within the shelter! Topics include: animal behavior/training, animal control/wildlife, veterinary care, and adoptions/fostering. Our goal is to educate each camper on how to best live harmoniously with animals through a variety of activities that encourage collaboration, creative thinking, and a fun learning experience. Most importantly, campers will
interact hands-on with our shelter animals and participate in service projects to make their time at our shelter better.
Camp Date: Tuesday, March 26th Time: 9am-3:30pm Location: Animal Welfare League of Arlington Shelter Price: $125
Meet Ginger, an adorable 6-year-old gal who is sure to spice up your life! She's sweet too – a cuddle bug that would love to snuggle up with you on these cold winter evenings. She's done wonderfully in her foster home – and her foster
reported no potty accidents! Walks great on the leash and doesn't pull or try to chase birds or squirrels. And when she's done walking, she'll let you know! She's a dog that knows her limits.
